One of the most common defects I encounter is a poorly installed roof. If you have a new roof installed, be sure to use a licensed roofer who is established in your area. Insist on a written proposal that describes the exact shingle that will be used, and that it will be installed according to the manufacturer's recommendations and also according to the applicable ICC code standards. I would not pay for the roof until these requirements where confirmed by a knowledgeable person. www.gregpetersoninspections.com
